Modular Chiller Design

Worried about replacing or repairing a chiller once it has been installed? Chiller breakdowns are inevitable fact of life. But it wouldn't it be nice to be to fix the problem without shutting down your process and losing days, even weeks of productivity. Unlike most chiller designs, our unique modular concept makes chiller breakdowns and repair a problem of the past.

Glycol Concentration - required to operate at different leaving water temperatures to prevent freezing.

Our modular chilling system is the only design of its kind that allows you to remove, service or replace individual components without shutting down the balance of the system - all in the space of a few hours. Our modular chilling systems consist of a series or set of chilling units that operate together to offer the large cooling capacity required and can be installed one at a time to form a sequence of chillers.

How Does It Work?
The beauty of our design is that a series of 10 chillers (or 2 sets of 5 chillers) share a piping system that each unit can be separated from. On each unit you will find a piping system that has been bolted on to the main chiller unit. When a unit needs to be serviced or repaired, all you have to do is unbolt the main unit from the piping system and take the unit out.

When you need to remove the chiller unit for servicing, the first thing you have to do is to 1) close the condenser and evaporator isolation valves and 2) unbolt the the vitaulic coupling. Once you remove the 4 bolts that join the piping system to the main chiller unit, you can drag the chiller out from the system and repair it.

Once the chiller has been repaired or serviced, follow these steps:

1. Reinstall and bolt the grooved coupling between main header and chiller. 2. Insert the 4 bolts on each side that join the chiller to the next chiller.
3. Re-open the the condenser and evaporator isolation valves.
